Case Study: How I Helped a Freelance Video Editor Boost Social Media Visibility & Generate Enquiries
Running a business can be incredibly rewarding but it can also feel like a lot especially during busy seasons.
When Rachel first reached out to me in 2024 her business had rapidly grown and she suddenly became overwhelmed by the level of admin needed to keep her business running efficiently.
The Client
Rachel is a busy freelance video editor who supports wedding videographers with their edits. Rachel understands the value of delegation and how it can help other business owners focus on the areas of the business they love.
When we first connected, her business had grown rapidly, and she simply couldn’t keep up with admin and social media alongside her growing workload. At the time, her diary was full for months in advance and she had no time to focus on the backend of the business.
The Challenge
During our discovery call, Rachel shared that she was struggling with:
Feeling overwhelmed by admin tasks
Neglecting social media profiles
Falling behind on responding to new client enquires
Working longer hours to try and keep up
We spent the discovery call strategising how I could help her as she didn’t need to work harder she just needed the right support behind the scenes.
The Support
We identified what was draining Rachel’s time and energy the most. From there, I stepped in to take those tasks off her plate.
Here is what I supported Rachel with:
Scheduling Social Media Posts
Caption Writing
Inbox Management
Social Media Engagement
I slotted right into Rachel's systems and way of working so nothing felt complicated or overwhelming. It was simply a case of onboarding me and then I could get started straight away.
The Transformation
After working together for almost 2 years now, things have shifted for Rachel in a positive way.
Rachel now has:
More time to focus on her own clients
A doubled conversion rate of email enquiries
Increased following on social media
Weight lifted off of her shoulders
And some of my favourite wins?
1. Due to her social media presence a well known wedding videography podcast reached out to Rachel for her to be a guest on the show.
2. At the beginning of this year Rachel launched her 1:1 mentoring services, something she wouldn’t have had the time to do before.
A few words from Rachel
“ I found Chloe via a previous client of mine, and decided to reach out in the hope she could help relieve some of my stress. We had a call and she got to work immediately, organising a schedule for some social media posts and drafting a few reply templates for enquiries. She quickly became a vital part of the day to day running of the business, and I really can’t remember how I managed before.
Each month, we go over the plan for the following month’s posts, get the materials together and Chloe comes up with captions and schedules everything. Each week, she handles any enquiries that I haven’t managed to catch up with, sends out initial response emails and follow ups, and frequently organises my jumbled inbox!
It’s not only her help and support, but the accountability that comes from having her get in touch each week to handle my inbox, each month to handle my posts scheduling etc. that makes a difference to me.
In the months following my bringing Chloe on board, my conversion rate from new email enquiries doubled, as did my following on social media. More people have reached out to me via Instagram because they’ve seen my posts frequently and want to know how I can help them. Many people don’t realise how much consistency matters when it comes to social media and email responses, and this is something I was really struggling with before I found Chloe. She has taken a huge weight off my shoulders and left me free to do the things I’m actually good at. I’m constantly recommending her to everyone I know, and I’m looking forward to working with her for many years to come.”
Final Thoughts
Running a business doesn’t have to feel heavy and overwhelming all the time. Sometimes, simply delegating one task you don’t enjoy can create a powerful shift.
If you’re currently feeling burnt out or overwhelmed, having the right support might be exactly what you need to grow your business in a way that feels sustainable.
Does this sound familiar?
